"I was not always the star; I know how it feels to be in the middle of the pack and at the very bottom. I try and take this experience and make every single Soc Roc student feel special."

Before moving to New York City, James Christie was a small town boy with a great love for soccer. He grew up in a small country town called Oley about one hour northwest of Philadelphia. At a young age James decided that his dream was to play Pro Soccer. It was not easy for James; there were many injuries and setbacks. But after many years of perseverance, he finally achieved his goal and played Pro Soccer with the Baltimore Blast for three years. Along the way James was named High School All American and received a FULL soccer scholarship to Div. I Philadelphia University.

While at Phila. U. James was named Team Captain and MVP. He also was named Mid A... and played at the Under 20 National Team. He has played with and been coached by some of the greatest names in North American Soccer History.

After knee surgeries and nagging injuries cut his playing career short, James needed something to take the place of his passion for Soccer. He started to lift weights and became a Personal Trainer helping adults and youth improve their lifestyles and fitness levels. James has been a Personal Trainer for the last nine years and currently still trains at the prestigious Union League Club in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY. In the Spring of 2006 some of James' personal training clients asked him to teach their kids soccer and at the same time personal train them, work on overall fitness, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. And this is how we got Soc Roc today. Soc Roc is different than any other soccer program because there is more emphasis overall strength and conditioning.

James Christie loves to teach kids. He is a master motivator and his sensitive nature makes him a very valuable teacher to anyone. James says "I was not always the star; I know how it feels to be in the middle of the pack and at the very bottom. I try and take this experience and make every single Soc Roc student feel special."

James' goal in life is to make kids better soccer players, encourage a healthy and fit lifestyle, and give ALL his students life skills to make them better people.
